The ACCA Advanced Financial Management (AFM / P4) course is designed for students who want to develop advanced skills in financial strategy, investment decisions and corporate finance. Building on the knowledge gained in Financial Management (FM), it takes students into the more complex financial decisions faced by senior finance professionals and businesses.
Students explore advanced investment appraisal, business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, treasury and risk management, and international financial management, and develop the ability to evaluate complex information, assess strategic options and provide well-reasoned recommendations.
A strong focus is placed on applying financial techniques to practical scenarios rather than simply performing calculations — analysing information, interpreting results and communicating appropriate recommendations.
