The ACCA Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) course develops the advanced reporting, analysis and professional-judgement skills required at the Strategic Professional level. Building on Financial Reporting (FR), it moves beyond basic preparation of statements to understanding, evaluating and communicating complex reporting issues.
Students apply IFRS to challenging situations — group accounts, business combinations, financial instruments and revenue recognition — and learn to interpret information from the perspective of different stakeholders.
A major focus is professional judgement and clear communication: analysing unfamiliar scenarios, identifying issues, explaining the appropriate treatment and providing well-supported conclusions.
